SMS Consent
Last updated July 8, 2026
AMC Sniper sends optional text-message alerts only to users who verify their mobile number with a one-time code, then actively check the SMS consent box and press the opt-in button. Text-message consent is not required to use AMC Sniper.
How users opt in
AMC Sniper uses one web/app opt-in path for SMS alerts:
- The user signs in to AMC Sniper and opens Settings.
- The user enters their mobile phone number and receives a one-time 6-digit verification code by text.
- The user enters the code, proving they control the number. Alerts are never enabled for an unverified number.
- The user must check an unchecked consent checkbox and press “Turn on SMS alerts” before any alert texts are sent.
If the checkbox is not checked, AMC Sniper does not enable SMS alerts. Users may use Discord alerts and the rest of the service without consenting to text messages.
Consent language shown to users
The checkbox next to the phone number says:
I agree to receive automated text alerts from AMC Sniper at the number above. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Consent isn't a condition of using the service. See our Privacy Policy and Terms.
What the opt-in form looks like
This is the exact opt-in form shown in AMC Sniper Settings. The consent checkbox is unchecked by default; text alerts cannot be saved unless the user actively checks it. No purchase is required, and SMS consent is never a condition of using the service.
Opt-in confirmation message
When a user completes the opt-in above, AMC Sniper sends a one-time confirmation text:
AMC Sniper: You're opted in to text alerts. Msg frequency varies. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.
Message types and frequency
- SMS alerts may include seat-opening alerts, new-showtime alerts, tracker status alerts, and test messages requested by the user.
- Message frequency varies based on the number of trackers the user creates and AMC ticket availability.
- Message and data rates may apply.
Opt out and help
- Users can reply STOP to any text message to unsubscribe.
- Users can reply HELP for help.
- Users can also remove their phone number or turn off text alerts in Settings.
- For support, email support@amcsniper.com.
