Privacy Policy

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Account information. When you sign in, our authentication provider (Clerk) gives us your user ID and the email address associated with your account.
• Contact details for notifications. If you opt in to phone notifications, we store the mobile phone number you provide. If you use Discord alerts, we store the webhook URL you give us.
• Tracker settings. The theatres, dates, showtimes, movies, seat selections, and alert preferences you create.
• Technical data. Standard request information (such as IP address and browser type) processed by our hosting provider to operate and secure the service.

We do not collect or store payment card details, and we never see your AMC account credentials.

How we use your information

• To operate your trackers and detect seat or showtime changes.
• To send you the alerts you ask for, by SMS/text message and/or Discord.
• To secure, maintain, and improve the service.
• To respond to your support requests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your phone number for marketing.

SMS / phone notifications

Phone notifications are entirely optional and require your explicit opt-in. By providing your phone number and enabling text alerts, you consent to receive automated SMS messages about the showtimes and seats you choose to track.

• Message frequency varies and depends on the trackers you create and on AMC ticket availability.
• Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details.
• Opt out at any time by replying STOP to a message, or by removing your phone number in your settings. Reply HELP for help.
• We share your phone number only with our SMS provider (Twilio), solely to deliver the alerts you request. No mobile information — including your phone number and your SMS opt-in or consent — will be shared with, sold to, or disclosed to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

How we share information

We share data only with service providers that help us run AMC Sniper, and only as needed to provide it:

• Clerk — authentication and account management.
• Cloudflare — hosting, storage, and request processing.
• Our SMS provider — delivering text-message alerts to your phone.
• Discord — delivering alerts to a webhook you supply.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service. Public showtime and seat-availability data is retrieved from AMC; we do not send your personal information to AMC.

Data retention

We keep your account and tracker data for as long as your account is active. When you delete a tracker, your phone number, or your account, we delete the associated data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

• Update or delete your trackers and contact details at any time.
• Turn off SMS alerts by replying STOP or removing your number.
• Delete your account, which removes your associated personal data.
• Request access to or deletion of your data by contacting us at the email below.

Children’s privacy

AMC Sniper is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
